Spring Break, WOOOOO!!!

It seems that every time I hang out with Jeremy, Dave and Bert spontaneous adventures happen like our Vegas trip. This time, Kim, Yasmin and I ended up partying in Rosarita, Mexico and boogied in an open air club on the beach with a bunch of sweaty American college kids on Spring Break. We decided on the spur of the moment to drive down to Mexico with Jeremy and Bert as one of Jeremy's friends was having her birthday celebrations down there. We had originally been told about this Mexico trip, but we decided it would be too complicated to move our flights to NYC that were scheduled early on the next day. It seems that this is not really enough of a barrier to stop us from having an adventure though, as we figured out we could just drive down there for a few hours then drive back in time to leave for the airport in the morning, which is exactly what we did.

So, 3 aussie girls chaperoned by Jeremy and Bert made there way down to Rosarita for some Mexican culture only to find more Americans. We had a good dance, got ripped off by dodgy shopkeepers, got a little tipsy and ate some great tacos from street vendors. All in all, a pretty complete trip.

So now the 3 of us are dog tired from no sleep, flying on the plane and lugging our crap around. But shopping and New York now awaits...

Land of the brown cloud

I'm currently staying with two good friends of mine in Anaheim in LA, Jeremy and Dave. I met them on the Colorado Snow Trip and we've stayed in touch ever since. It's been an absolute blast so far.

Last week I met up with two friends from home, Kim and Yas and we went up to San Francisco to visit my godparents and some of my friends that I made from UCDC. I also met up with Roland and two other aussie UCR exchange students from Australia. We did all the touristy stuff and I spent my birthday at Chevy's - a mexican restaurant where I got a sombrero, then we went to a gay bar in Castro where there were semi-naked gogo dancers.

I'm going to put up pics and more detailed posts once I get home, but I just wanted to update you all on the goings on here.

I'm heading off to NYC on Saturday and will be spending 10 days there.

Hope all is well back home!
